At the Holloway Reunion on August 10, 1986, Alton Holloway addressed the family regarding the cemetery and these are his notes:

"The Holloway Cemetery Association was organized in May of 1970. It had a trust fund goal of $10,000.00. July of 1971 we had a little under $6,000.00. By July of 1975 we had reached our $10,000 goal but it became obvious that the interest from this fund would not in the future care for the cemetery so we invited additional contributions. I believe this is the last time we asked for contributions, however; some continued to come in. At our annual meeting last month we had 26,986.70. I am sure it is a little over $27,000 now. I want to give Edwin {Poindexter} credit for he is the principle in the management of this fund. Over the years we have put new fence all around the cemetery. The one on the North was donated by my sister Virginia Griffin and her family. All of the material and much of the labor. We have put in two cattle guards, set out shrubs and trees and filled in the low places. Most of the funeral people leave a pile of dirt. We wheelbarrow it to sunken graves, try to keep tombstones fairly scraped. Recently we have trimmed the trees and put down many lot markers along the road and cleaned out from under the chain linked fence. Over the years the 5 trustees dwindled down to 2. One resigned, one died and ill health overtook one so it has been Edwin and I for several years now. We talked to people looking for someone else to serve but no servers until at last month’s annual meeting, John Holloway was elected and consented to serve as a trustee. We are certainly glad to have some young blood come on the board. Our goal now for the future is to be able to have the cemetery mowed a little more often. Thank you, Alton Holloway"
